The practice of Qigong has been rooted in Chinese culture for over 4000 years, and translates literally to ‘life force cultivation’. The physical movements of Qigong work the muscles, joints, and ligaments of the body. The movements themselves were inspired by imagery from animals and nature. These movements inspires a flowing gentleness and calmness in the mind. Qigong is a moving meditation. We teach hour-long classes that cover all four elements: movement, massage, breathing, and meditation.
Our instructor, Bobbie Lu-Kopf started Qigong at the age of five and has been actively teaching since 2001! For more information on Qigong and an interview with Bobbie, please read our blog entitled Qigong with Bobbie Lu-Kopf – A Lifetime of Practice.
